Episode 004: Adaptive Gardening for Chronic Illness and Disability, and Dandelions with Jolie Ann Flora
Jolie Ann Flora, a queer, disabled gardener, believes that anyone can garden no matter their background or physical ability. There's no such thing as a "born" green thumb, she says; you can learn to garden and connect with nature whatever your starting place, and Jolie's book can help you. She shares how her own adaptation to chronic illness--by applying her background as a horticultural therapist to her own life--actually brought her a new level of happiness in gardening and attunement to nature in general. We talk about how resilient and adaptive dandelions are as well!
